What’s New

Math hub iconThe Math Hub has developed two new modules under Basic Tutorials. The first one is Exponents and the second one is Introduction to Trigonometry. If you have not already viewed the Math hub, it features interactive resources on math study strategies, overcoming math anxiety, and math language, among others. You can direct students to the Hub/modules or you can link directly to content on your library or learning centre website.

Interactive math readiness modules are also now available for students to help them learn math and prepare for their math studies at college. These modules have a diagnostic for students which helps them to pinpoint their areas for development.

A new module on Personal Pitches has been added on the Digital Skills Hub. The new module explains how students can create their own “elevator pitch” videos as a way of promoting themselves to potential employers.

A Digital Portfolio module has also been added to the Digital Skills Hub. This module walks students through the process of creating a website portfolio to showcase their work. It includes tips to help them choose a tool as well as recommendations for what sections and information to include.

An Indigenous matters video has been added to the Indigenous inclusion module in the Faculty Toolkit hub.

What’s Changed

writing hub iconThe Writing Hub continues to cover aspects of the writing process, including planning, structuring and revising your writing, it now includes a section on ‘Types of Writing’, which includes academic/essay writing, emails and summaries.
