Blackboard Package Instructions

These are general instructions for importing packages. Your institution may use different settings.

If you have issues please contact info@tlp-lpa.ca to receive a copy of the quizzes by email. Quizzes will only be provided to faculty.

D2L/Brightspace Packages Instructions

These are general instructions for importing packages. Your institution may use different settings.

If you have issues please contact info@tlp-lpa.ca to receive a copy of the quizzes by email. Quizzes will only be provided to faculty.

NOTE: you may have to tweak the settings for the quizzes using these instructions:

  1. On the Quiz Page, open Quiz Setup
  2. Open Submission Views tab
  3. Select “Add Additional Views”
  4. Follow the basic steps, change as necessary
  5. Save the View

What Are Packages?

In these tabs, you can find LMS packages for many of the modules in the Learning Portal.

What Are Packages Video transcript - RTF

What Each Package Includes:

The Learning Online, Study Skills, Citation and Research, Writing and Communication, and Digital Media Assignments packages include:

  • Module Links: Direct access to the corresponding content.
  • Quizzes: Randomized questions from pools.
  • Seamless Integration: Quizzes link back to the related module on the Learning Portal for a smooth learning experience.

Available Packages for LMSs:

These packages are available for the following Learning Management Systems (LMSs):

  • Blackboard Learn
  • Blackboard Ultra
  • Brightspace (D2L)

Below you can find videos on how to import the packages into the LMSs.

NOTE: The packages are not human-readable files; you must import them into an LMS to view the content.

Included Modules in Maamwi Hub Package:

  • The Indian Act & Treaties: This package includes resources that provide overviews of Indigenous history in Canada, the Indian Act, Treaties, and Land Acknowledgements. Optional reflection questions / prompts are included.
  • Indigenous Peoples in Canada:This package includes resources that provide overviews of Indigenous Peoples in Canada, respectful terminology, stereotypes, and Indigenous Knowledge. Optional reflection questions / prompts are included.
  • Residential Schools:This package includes resources that provide overviews of the history and impact of residential schools, and the Sixties Scoop. Optional reflection questions / prompts are included.
