What’s New

The new year has brought with it, a lot of exciting changes to The Learning Portal!

Homepage Banners

The first thing you’ll notice is right on the homepage! We've added interactive banners to our homepage, providing you with a dynamic way to navigate through all the diverse content our portal has to offer. Our goal is to begin featuring different hubs and modules on these banners throughout the year to allow our users to explore new material that they might not have come across previously.

Refreshed Citation and Research Hub

Our citation and research hub has undergone a significant refresh! We've incorporated 19 new videos that reflect a new visual style and images that mirror our student population more widely. These videos cover a wide range of topics to aid in your academic endeavors. Additionally, you'll find updated research information and activities, as well as helpful citation examples to assist you in citing your sources accurately and effectively. Whether you're a student, researcher, or academic professional, our hub is your go-to resource for mastering the art of citation and research!

This update also included brand new Academic Integrity content! This module includes links to each individual college’s academic integrity policy and guidelines. We have also added key terms that includes definitions, examples and in some cases a brief case study.

Inclusive Writing Tutorial

We believe in the power of inclusive writing, and to further support this ethos, we're thrilled to introduce our latest tutorial, developed by Seneca Polytechnic Learning Centres, dedicated to inclusive writing practices. Learn how to create content that respects and reflects the diversity of our world, fostering an inclusive environment for all readers.

The Digital Media Assignments Hub underwent a refresh towards the end of 2023. If you haven't gotten the chance yet, take a look at the following modules to see whats new. Including many new videos, helpful tutorials, and interesting activities.
