Tips

  • Check who you are replying to.Make sure you are not choosing "Reply All" when a reply to a single person is what is required/intended, especially when replying with personal/sensitive information.
  • Beware of malicious links.Beware of links, especially from spam emails. Check that the connection is secure before entering personal information on a website.
  • Set your internet privacy settings to maintain browsing security. Privacy settings allow you to manage things like cookies, pop-ups, and downloads and minimize the amount of malicious activity on your browser.
  • Only download files from places you trust.While there are many cool and useful things available to download, there are also risky or malicious files. Only download files from reputable websites.
  • Beware of phishing emails.Be careful with emails that ask you for your passwords, security code, banking email, and any other critical information, as they may be phishing scams.
