What’s New

Health Sciences Research Modules

Finding Evidence-based Information for Health Sciences Students is a new set of modules found within the Research Hub. The creation of these modules was funded by eCampus Ontario and a Virtual Learning Strategy grant.

This hub will help nursing or health sciences students navigate the process of finding evidence-based health sciences information. It will help students plan their search, use appropriate databases to find information, evaluate information, and write an academic paper. It also includes a glossary of important terms.

Faculty can import the content of these modules into their learning management system using LMS packages. There is also an ACRL Framework mapping tool to help library staff identify links between the information literacy modules and the six frames of the Framework.

Use the promotional box created for the Health Sciences Hub to promote on your library’s website or social media accounts.

Seven of the Hubs are now translated into French. The Health Sciences Research Hub and Digital Skills Hub will soon be available in French.

Maamwi: Indigenous Hub

The Learning Portal team and a content development team are creating a new hub for the Learning Portal that will provide access to Indigenous data, reports and research that will help each of our Colleges on our path towards Truth and Reconciliation. This hub will expand on the current content located in the Faculty Toolkit under Indigenous Inclusion that was built and designed by Confederation College.
